    Mission Statement

    To promote healthy lifestyles through prevention and awareness as highly trained community members that are compassionate caring individuals. We will accomplish this by providing support in health instruction through advocacy and serve as a link between health care and the community.


    Strategies

    Developing a network of shared resources, shared vision and goals between communities along the USMX border.

    Developing capacity among Promotoras through educational workshops and trainings.

    Benefits

    -Promotor/as:

    • Act as a bridge, connector, or link between their community and health care systems.

    • Are trained members, and usually leaders, of the communities they serve.

    • Work in community settings

    • Provide education and health information.

    • Ensure people get the needed support, counseling, and overall services they need.

    • Build on the strengths of the communities.

    • Advocate on behalf of their communities and clients.

    Join Us:

    Any Promotora or community member interested in becoming a Promotora is eligible
    for membership of the Northern New Mexico Promotora Committee.
